Project Management
Project solved.
Our team was dubbed with a wedding project. The proposal was plan a wedding in six months for 150 guests and a pregnant bride with a $15,000 budget, and the couple wanted a movie themed wedding.

For these original parameters, our team positioned ourselves as wedding consultants and provided a preferred vendor list all necessary items. While the team paid for the venue, officiant, invitations and task-tracked the vendor payments, we ultimately left it the client’s responsibility to pay for the chosen vendors.

The team was then given a curve ball: the parents wanted to invite 50 more quests for a total of 200 guests and threw in $5,000 for the total budget to be $20,000 for the wedding.

This change was given to us 2.5 months into our 6 month planning timeframe and we adjusted as necessary.

All project deliverables were met within the allotted time and budget, with a 100% satisfaction rating from the team’s key stakeholders.
Team Report/Analysis
Each step that was taken to successfully complete this project is detailed below in all 32 pages of our report. The team was a very integral part of the project, but we each were able to walk away with the skills of a project manager.

The Budget
With an initial budget of $15,000 for 150 guests, we ran the numbers to find the most economical answer for their movie-themed wedding. We broke down all aspects of the wedding; vendor rates, plate rates, decorations, insurance, photographer/videographer prices. We included our wedding planning service fee to ensure we would make a profit regardless of how the numbers ran, and we still ended up being under budget.

Our curveball budget was increased by $5,000 for an additional 50 guests. This makes the total budget of the wedding. $20,000 for 200 guests, which worked to our benefit. In the 2.0 budget, you can see where we were able to add a few more luxury items to the budget.
